The entire City Council's voting record is accessible in a searchable database online.  To see how Council Member Garodnick voted on an issue of importance to you, just click the Search Legislation link to the right and your browser will be directed to the database.  There, you will also be able to to read through the text of legislation and find out about hearings.

Budget

Every year the Council Member makes budget allocations to various groups and causes around the City that serve his constituents.  If you would like to make a budget request of your own, click the Submit a Budget Request link to the right.

Council Member Garodnick has undertaken efforts to make the budget process more transparent, including making publicly-accessible the dozens of meetings he and his staff have with groups seeking funding in the city budget. The office has also published letters from institutions and nonprofits that request advocacy in the budget on their behalf.
