Statement of Council Member Dan Garodnick on the Oak Creek Shooting

I want to extend my thoughts and prayers to the families and victims of the shooting in Oak Creek, Wisconsin.  As that community tries to cope with the senseless and tragic event, we all must make it known that when one group becomes the target of a hate-based attack, all of us as Americans are truly victims.  We need to root out hatred and violence in all of its forms, and to our Sikh neighbors here in New York City, and throughout the country, please know that we stand with you at this difficult moment.
