Garodnick: New 34th Street Plan Is More Modest, More Promising

Council Member Garodnick gave a cautious endorsement to the Department of Transportation's revised plan for a 34th Street Transitway, after the DOT made changes based on community input. "34th Street is screaming out for an overhaul," Council Member Garodnick said. "This new plan is more modest, but if done right, it actually has a chance to bring relief on curbside access, bus speeds and even traffic flow."
