Garodnick Joins Ribbon-Cutting for New Facilities at Gouverneur Hospital

Council Member Garodnick joined Lower East Side elected officials, community leaders and hospital representatives at the official opening of a new ambulatory care clinic and modern nursing home at the City-run Gouverneur Hospital.

He said of the $200 million renovation project: "There is nothing second-class about the treatment that patients at our HHC hospitals receive, and there should be nothing second-class about the setting if it will provide patients with the dignity and peace of mind conducive to improving their heath."
