Meet the Team
Lindsey Allison
District Chief of Staff
Starting in January of 2006, Lindsey Allison has served on Council Member Garodnick's staff as a community liaison.
It was Lindsey's campaign experience in Ohio during the 2004 General Election that prompted her to pursue a career in government. Upon arriving in New York City for graduate school, she immediately began working in City politics.
She oversees all constituent affairs within the district office and is responsible for policy issues before the Cultural Affairs Committee. Lindsey directly handles constituent affairs emanating from the Community Board 8 area, and coordinates the office's volunteer and intern program.
A native Virginian, Lindsey received a B.A. in history and political science from the University of Georgia, and a M.A. in international relations from New York University.
Justine Almada
Legislative Director
Justine Almada is the office's specialist on tenants rights, and is Council Member Garodnick's legislative director. In that role, she formulates the office's legislative agenda, developing ideas for new policy and regulations.
She joined Council Member Garodnick's staff upon his induction, following volunteer stints on several City Council campaigns.
Justine graduated from Wesleyan University with a degree in Latin American studies. Born and raised in Manhattan, she is a Milken Scholar and a fluent Spanish speaker.
Tim Laughlin
Director of Scheduling / Community Liaison
Tim Laughlin joined Council Member Garodnick's staff in January 2008.
Prior to working in the City Council, Tim was employed by several political campaigns throughout the country. He has also advocated for sustainable practices and policy in the state of North Carolina, and worked in the Connecticut State legislature. He is currently responsible for maintaining Council Member Garodnick's daily schedule, and is also his aide on the Public Safety Committee, as well as his liaison to Community Board 6.
Tim grew up in New Milford, CT. He earned an AS in multimedia technology from the New England Institute of Art, and a BA in political science from The University of North Carolina in Asheville.
Sven Pamuk
Community Liaison
Sven joined Council Member Garodnick's staff in May 2007. He works on a variety of constituent concerns from across the district, ranging from quality of life to traffic issues. He is the office's liaison to Community Board 8, and responds to constituent concerns from that part of the Council District.
Prior to joining the staff, Sven spent six years in the finance industry, as part of a wealth management team for Wachovia Securities.
Sven graduated from Villanova University with a B.A. in political science. He studied economics for two years at the University of Skovde, in Sweden, before earning a master’s degree in international relations from the University of Nottingham, in England. An Illinois native, he is also a fluent Swedish speaker.
Dan Pasquini
Communications Director
The son of two public school principals, Dan Pasquini is Council Member Garodnick's aide to the Education Committee. As Communications Director, Dan is responsible for all public messaging from Council Member Garodnick's office.
He graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in journalism. Following stints as a writer for radio morning shows and as an advertising copywriter, he began his career in government with an internship in the office of State Senator Liz Krueger, where he drafted campaign finance reform legislation that was introduced in the Senate in May 2006.
Dan is Council Member Garodnick's liaison to Community Board 5. He specializes in education and quality of life issues and oversees the maintenance of Garodnick.com.
Marianna Vaidman Stone
Senior Policy Advisor
Marianna Vaidman Stone is a senior policy advisor to Council Member Garodnick, with a special emphasis on land use. She aides the Council Member on zoning issues before the Council, and is the office's primary contact for questions regarding the Con Edison development on First Avenue.
Her legal experience includes having worked as a litigation associate at the firm of Debevoise & Plimpton. She graduated from New York University Law School after earning her B.A. from Williams College.
Marianna grew up in the district and attended Stuyvesant High School. She was born in Moscow and speaks fluent Russian.
